Samir Singh is a talented musician who likes going by his stage name 'Parinda.' His quest to find his calling in life has taken him on a meandering journey of experimentation and discovery. He spent a couple of years training himself as a dancer, but didn't experience the contentment he was seeking and so tried his hand at acting. Still experiencing a spiritual vacuum, he turned towards writing. He began to pen down his thoughts and experiences and this process gradually led him to music. In music, he says, he finally found what he was searching for. Today, he writes and composes his own songs and performs them at several places. He feels that his journey as a musician has just began and that he still has a long way to go. He looks forward to this journey with much enthusiasm and hope.

“Pratyul Joshi, All the best. You have a promising career ahead. As for the initiative, thumbs up. Suggestion: You can conduct street plays on general awareness. Am sure people will watch just like this!”
“I reached Vashi station tired and worn out from the days work, to see a crowd formed around a man, went to investigate, and I saw a man performing a song which sounded like Sufi music to me. His voice echoed through the granite corridors of the station and the merry strums of his guitar filled the air with melancholy. I stood there hearing his song about finding God in ones own belief, reminded me of Kabir ke Dohe which i had read when i was a kid.”
